HELLO CUCA / LE TETSUO / THE COREY O's / THE GORE VIDALS / NICK MELIA @ the marquee (with howlback hum)

this Saturday, August 20:
at The Marquee, Cattle Market Street, Norwich
Howlback Hum/MQP co-promotion

HELLO CUCA
Two-girl, one-boy band from sunny Spain blasting out crazed almost
mantra-like garage rock. Counting most of the US indie-rock-elite
(Bratmobile, Calvin Johnston, French Toast, Weird War) within their circle
of fans, Hello Cuca have an album, Gran Sur, out now on their own
Rompepistas label and in the UK on Leed's Go Jonny Go Go Go Go Records.
This August they are on an eight-date tour of the UK with their
stripped-down garage rock n roll twisted with surf-grrrl-garage noise.
They play it simple and play it good - with a bit of rock posing and
guitar solos thrown in.

"The twang and clatter of Link Ray meets the raw and passion-led
repetition of early-Joy Division; the fired-up urgency of Riot Grrrl meets
the determined struggle of a half-century-full of Girls in the Garage"

"Our songs are secret love messages. A few verses from the heart in the
rock'n'roll tradition"

COREY ORBINSON aka COREY-O's
Tour support. Pure-heart-stop-start-noise-nik three-piece outfit based in
both London and Bristol who are neck-deep in the current UK DIY
feminist-punk-kid-affair. Not afraid to make a mess and break the rules,
they inject hardcore-punk with a healthy sense of wimpiness, sloppiness
and fun. Smart kids with sharp instruments and tuff-enuff looks.
